Wider Stock Black Steel Rims

Does any know what kind of car I can get a set of stock black steel rims that are wider for a '96 Sunfire that came with 15" rims with Hub caps ? I want to keep my Sunfire as close to a "Sleeper" as possible. I am running 205/60/R15 and want to go to a 225/50/R15 to get more tire under the car without giving away to much. And if you have suggestions on how to get the car to hook up, tell me, please !!! Have Prothane in all of the front end. Team Green -green spring LSD in the 5-speed tranny. Prothane Engine / Tranny mounts. Sub-frame cross beam to A-Arms. Car breaks lose in 1st and 2nd. Rev limiter kicks in too.

wat kind of tires are you running? if your loosing traction you should probably consider upgrading to a nice premium performance tire. wider tires give you a nice wide footprint, but traction is only as good as your tires. as for upgrading to a wider width rim...

as for your real question... i ave never seen a 15x7" or 15x6.5" wide steel wheel. doesnt mean it doesnt exist, just avent seen it.

Good "Sticky" tire, Heated up, they do grab a little better. Still wondering what else to do. Wheel hop in 1st, but after all of the Prothane, 2nd gear wheel hop is gone. The tranny build ended up with a 4:11 ratio. That's why I want a taller/wider tire without using a non-stock rim.

Pontiac Vibes are available with 16" steel wheels. I'm not sure how wide they are, but I would assume 6" wide. And they're the same bolt pattern as J-Bodies.
