i have asked a few people already, but i was wondering if i got 19x8 rims with a +42mm offset would i have rubbing problems? i know i've read on the forums that you're not supposed to, but i have had people that do unless they roll the fenders. would i really have rubbing problems? could anyone with this rim size help me out. i am looking at 225/35 for a tire as well just to clear that up.
you'll need to roll the fenders
what if they are 7.5" wide? will i still need to roll the fenders?
you will not need to roll your fenders with those rims or shouldnt at least im running 19x8.5 in the front with a 35 mm offset and no rolling has been done with that rim combo you have Inner Clearance: 1 mm less then me (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing) and Outer Position: is retracted by RETRACT by 13mm (position of the outside edge of the wheel
i find it very hard to believe that a 8.5" wide rim with a 35mm offset required no rolling of the fenders. yes they will fit but if you hit a decent size bump, that fender is going to rub on the tire.
you find it hard to beleive its on my car lol ive also seen another one with the same rim/tire combo no rubbing I drive the car hit many bumps. I guess if you plan on ramping your car it will probably hit but that is the least of your problems at that point

not your car because its wider than a stock cav. im saying a stock cav in general. there was a person on here that had a yellow cav that had the same setup (8.5" wide & 35mm offset) and his tire actually stuck out by about 1/2" in the front
so i might not need to roll my fenders? i guess i should just get the rims and see if they rub or not?
they'll fit but the only modification you may need to do is roll the fenders.
my car is wider yes but the factory fende is still on the front of my car NOT rolled
plus on a secondary note hes asking abotu 19x8 35 offset which I had on my car last year no rolling which would mean he has 7 mm more clearence on his fenders, and cant count on both my hands the number of peopel i know with 19x8 on their car that havent rolled there fenders. The reason the guy your speaking of was probably rubbing cause he had a wider tire on to actually hit the rim you would need to hit some major bumps, the tire is what you need to worry about hiting not the rim thats why my 19x8.5 is fine on the front is because im running 225-35-19
so, bummrz, i should be ok with 19x8 with 225/35 for tires? i shouldn't have to really worry about rubbing problems?
you should be fine on rubbing on the outside fender but you would be closer on the strut side then your factory according to my calculations you will be 11 mm closer then my 8.5 wide on the strut side so you will hit when turning tight let me measure how much space there is from my struts to my rim tonight and I'll get back to you.
alright. thank you very much for your help, i really appreciate it!!!!!

Please quit passing along the WRONG info.
I've Been ROLN19S for over 5years.
19x8 - 35mm offset on BAGS!! 215/35/19
I cut my fender lips completely off at the top, NO ROLLING or BENDING the metal. I only cut off the lips after I was bagged.
YOU WILL NOT RUB UNLESS YOU ARE BAGGED AND ALL THE WAY DOWN AT 0psi
Also I had 225/35/19 tires before I was bagged, NO RUBBING!
bomb, thanks james! dude, you're car is so bomb by the way. i almost bought those rims way back when because they look so hot in your car. love it!
