looking for a good set of fall/winter tires for the steelies on my car. so i wont run my rims in winter or late fall...
im looking for a good tire
good traction, and decent wear.
and if i can, a lower profile one than i have right now (195/70R14)
anybody have any thoughts? i checked the tire size guide and of course there is nothing on 14's... haha
what about a 195/65R14 would that fit the rim?
im just looking to keep my car solid on the ground... without showing 10" of sidewall
sorry if this confuses anybody... its early
Just keep the 195-70-14 on there for winter, your not really gonna be able to toss it into turns that well with them. just replace them with the stock size and go on your way. Your other option would be go to the junk yard and get 4 15" steels and throw a set of 205-60-15 on them.

but are there any other options for the 14's? im looking into michellin hydroedges as my all season tires... but i would like them to be different then the 70's maybe a little less obese looking
Not really for the diameter your gonna still have the same sidewall not matter what to keep it correct.

I just searched the only matching diameter to go with would be a 225-60-14.

alright thanks for the help 01cav. i guess im sticking with the 195's. i was hoping to find a different size that would be cheaper for the michellin hydro's that i want to get.
