They look like another tire that follows the Nankang / Wanli / Lexani styling and tradition. Typically it would be a poor-quality tire that gets the job done, but is great for the price. Don't expect good longevity or durability, and don't expect amazing performance or road noise levels. If you're happy with tires that are cheap for the sake of being cheap, then you'll do fine with them. I'm in the market for basically the same kind of tire myself.

Revision: I just noticed that the same seller has Nankangs too, and they're quite a bit more money. I'd start to get worried about any tire that could be called "a money-saving alternative to Nankangs".

at my job we sell these things left and right....and for the price even though i hate cheap tires...they are acually very good tires...they wear very good because they have silica reinforced tread compounds which increases tread life. ive put these things on everything from geo metros to infinity g35s to evolution 8s. overall for the price you cant beat it with stick and in my opinion are better than the nankangs. ive worked with both.

another alternative to consider: fuzion tires. they're made by firestone/ bridgestone, and the HRi 's that i have gripped almost as well as my yokos that cost much more, never mind the stock goodyears... those are crap

Hey man don't hate on Nankang, I've been running the NS-II's on my 18's for a while and never had one problem with them, I have superior traction in the rain and when it's dry. They may be cheap, but to me they are good.

superior traction to what? superior traction over using ice cubes for tires? you cant have "superior" anything without something you are comparing it to.
grammar, guys, grammar...

anywho... i had some NS1's on some old wheels i had on my last car. they lasted decent, gripped decently in the dry weather. wet traction sucked though. they showed their cost in everything they did. they were a cheap tire that got the job done. and that is it. now if these nexen's are better than the nangkangs at a lower cost, they will be a damn good value.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

i doubt they have traction.. if your just daily driving its fine..
i have them in 18s on my other car ive had alot of tires..

especially kumhos with popped out sidewall.. several times i got 4 225/40/18s and there good i even bent 2 wheels with them on and no sidewall weak spots..

either way there almost bald now ive had them quite awhile i dont say they grip to well. probably the weakest thing on my car as far as suspension etc.. but for d.d. def a good choice

True. In my case, I've only had two different kinds of tires on my 18s. I've run Nakang NSIIs, and more recently Yokohama Parada Spec 2s. In both cases, I got them second-hand, so I don't know how much abuse they might have previously taken.

My ratings/10 (Y=Yokohama, N=Nankang)

Road noise: Y=3, N=7
Traction: Y=5, N=8
Appearance: Y=8, N=6
Price: Y=6, N=10

I haven't had either long enough to comment on longevity. In short, however, I'm not impressed with the Yokohamas at all when compared to the cheap competition. They are noisy and begin to squeal around corners if you push them at all. Maybe I just got some bad or abused ones, but still -- I think the main thing is that the Nankangs were definitely a good value.

wow. good to know. like you said, they were both second hand, so you cant vouch for longevity. but it realy surprises me to hear the nangkang tires were that much better for you than a higher priced "well known" brand

I'm still happy to be running a more upper end tire, but I was definitely surprised as well. Something that I've read elsewhere is that the Paradas are known for getting noisier as they wear, which could explain my poor opinion on that aspect of them. The traction might have to do with how soft or firm the compound is -- maybe the firmer rubber that could improve the longevity of the Yokohamas is making them less sticky.

That said, I don't race, I got them at a good price, and they look good. I can't say it's bothering me too much.

Wow. I used to think that the only thing cheaper than Nankangs were compressed rubber bands or used condoms.

Driven several cars on ZRi/HRi's. They're a step above Nankang/Wanli/any other cheap El-Jappos as far as durability, but still far from impressive in terms of wet traction and longevity. After working for Bridgestone/Firestone and equipping my entire family in top-tier Bridgestones, I could never use a cheap tire on anything but an absolute beater. Case in point, my Potenza S-03 Pole Positions with almost 20K on them make less noise than the garbage Goodyear Viva 2s that came off of my g/f's Grand Prix.
