Will 17 inch rims fit on stock tires?
This is may be a stupid question, but im just getting into the jbody scene and want to know
thanks in advance
you'd need 17" tires as well... judging from your sig pic, you have 16" wheels
dang, i was hoping i could get away without the few extra hundred bucks.
thanks for the help
you need to buy either 215/45/17 or 225/45/17

Haha, like i said, I am new to the scene.
I would really like a set of 17's, but when I am only making minimum wage, its hard to 600+ on a set of wheels and tires.
Those are 15" wheels in your sig, so don't buy 16" wheels either

save up your money and then buy what you want. good things come to those who wait.
those look like hubcaps in your sig, and if they are yu might wanna go look again cause they will be 15's. Thats what i have atleast and i think the only 16 inch is ls sport rims or actual fire rims
03 Sunfire - Sold.
yeah, i guess i measured to the wrong part.
so i feel like an ass, but what are ya gonna do

Dude, you don't need to measure.
Look on the side of the tire, if they are 15's they should say something like:
195/65R15
R stands for radius. The radius of the wheel is 15".
The 195 is the width, the 65 is the height.

there is a possibilty that they are 16" wheels and not caps. 03+ fires have that style as a 16" alloy rim.
my 04 cavi came with 14 inch hubbies........
i feel like a chump....lol

Actually stands for radial, as in radial ply.

you dont have to pay $600 to get 17's... i bought mine for $400 shipped to my door and the rims were only lightly used, tires brand new. you just gotta shop around for a good deal.

Learn something new everyday, it just seemed like common sense for the R to stand for radius.
Although I guess they don't have an H and W for height and width either, so..
