ok so i went to the track today.. with those mickey thompsons and about 25psi tire pressure. my best 60 ft was a 2.0. with consistent 2.3s...

so my question is...

what slicks is everyone using and at what tire pressure?

25psi is high for a E/T Street....try about 18 to 15 psi and do a good burnout too...
I have them on my Camaro and I run 16psi at the track

go down to 22psi tire pressure and see how that works. if its still not enough go down to 20 and go down more if needed.

I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'

I have never ran a slick (but have run drag radials). What kind of burnout are you doing? Just in first gear? On drag radials I shift into second gear and get them nice and hot. I can tell a big difference between a first gear bunrout and a second gear burnout at the same PSI.

1st gear but i sit ther for a bit feathering the throttle. i figured if i shifted into 2nd it would hook and snap foward.
