speed change

right now i have a base cav w/ 15" hubs on it.....after my next paycheck im getting some RAGE Raven wheels-16" and some tires that i believe are 205/55/16, i think thats the same size of rim and tires of a Z. but what i really wanna know is the speedometer reading change. will it add mph, take away, or stay the same? and how can i figure this out for myself...is there an equation to this?

205/55/16 is the stock tire size for 16s. you'll be fine. if you want to know more read the faq at the top of the page or go to the library and check out the tire size caculator

well tha bigger tha tire the slower the mph will read bcuz u cover more ground per revolution so ur covering more ground with less effort( per say ) so ur probly going 30 when ur speedo says 25-28 (persay)

first of all......stock hubs are 14's.
second of all.......go way bigger than 16's if you want a sportier look.

not all the way true. if you get the wrong tire size then yes it will throw the speedo off. if you get the correct tire size, everything will still be ok. if you keep the same overall diameter then there is no problem.

you need to get your info right before critizing, my car has 15 inch hubs as stated by strippedcav. Dont argue withthe wrong info please. and the change will be very minor if anything in your speed, so no worries here

Easiest way to tell from afar for the 15's is by looking for the five-bar, swept-back wheel cover. Typically chrome-coloured paint.

Don't know about "5 bar", but these are my 15" stockers:
