Polishing wheels this weekend
Wednesday, April 04, 2007 11:15 AM
well seeing as i have friday and sunday off of work because of the Easter weekend, i figured i would start my polishing job.

here are my materials, let me know if i am missing anything.

- Polishing kit (comes with like 9 bonnets of dfferent sizes and 3 polishes)
- 12V cordless drill
- High speed variable corded drill (might be pooched though)
- dremel tool with grinding stones and such
- wet sand paper (grits: 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500)
- blue magic metal polish
- brake parts cleaner
- dupli-color high performance wheel clear

anything im missing that i might need???

the brake and parts cleaner is to remove the residue or the polish so i can clear coat them when im done.

i was also thingking of picking up one of those pieces of the steel wool style sheets that you use to sand and bring the finish back with instead of wet sanding.

let me know what you think and i will keep you all updated.
