i have a cracked rim that am thinking of getting fixed what i want to ask is is it a good idea have anyone gotten a rim fixed was it worth it, its cheaper than buying a new set of rims, but if its going to crack at the same spot again then am out of luck..

yeah i would just get it fixed depending on how much you payed for the rim. to get a crack fixed its typically between 40-100$ depending on the crack and where you go. but once its fixed it should be fine. where i work we get cracked rims left and right and even though we dont fix them in house we send them out and they almost never come back with a problem. but if you can buy your rim new for $100 i would just go with the new rim. and if you do get it fixed and IF it cracks again yes you can get it re welded again as long as the rim is not bent where the crack is. if the rim is bent then i would just get the new rim for 2 reasons. 1 it is a bitch to fix a bend on an aluminum rim without cracking it even more and two even if you do fix the bend and the crack your balance will be off a bit and will have a flat spot in the rim.

thanks for the reply, i searched read before asking and didnt find a answer,. guess i'll get it fixed i really dont think i can buy these rims anymore, and i dont feel like spending $500++ on new rims any time soon..
