ok i have a chvy cavalier sedan 04 i just bought a 18 set of wheels and tires for my car and im also planning to use the sprint spring to lower my car 1.8"
so what should i do first put the wheels and tires first or lower my car and then the wheels and tires
does it matter in what order i install this on my car
If you have both, and the wheels and tires are ready to go on the car, why don't you do the lowering springs and put the new wheels on the car when you're done instead of having to put the old ones on again and switch later on.

first buy new struts you need either koni yellows or tokico dspecs w/ those springs. install them then put on the wheels
I would save myself the trouble and do it all at once.

so you mean i need struts too im sorry didnt know that i thought to lower a car the only thing that was neccesary was lowering springs liek the one im gonna get
r u sure those koni yellow are gonna go perfectly with the sprint springs for the cavy, where can i get them
If you get wheels and run out of money before looking after suspension, you end up with a car like mine. I believe one member said something along the lines of "I feel like I'm going to puke whenever I see a car with hot wheels, but enough space underneath that I could work on it without a jack".
Aftermarket struts are definitely a good idea if you lower the car, but many people have gone without them for lack of funds or knowledge. Frankly, I'm probably going to tempt fate and try some Sportlines with stock struts next summer. As others have said, Koni struts are pretty much the ultimate choice, and can be found on eBay and from various dealers worldwide. You sometimes can find them second-hand too.

trust me i know a good bit of info on cav suspensions and wheels and tires. if i were you id buy the tokico dspecs. they are pretty much the same as koni yellows but the dspecs are direct replacements. you can buy them from jason at aplusperformance.com. jason is a great guy and a very trusted org member. you need new struts because the stock struts will not handle any type of drop. they can barely handle the oem springs. there are other struts out there but they will not stand up to a 1.8" drop. the only struts that will take the much of a drop and be fine are koni yellows and tokico dspecs.
money is not a problem i got like 4k for some mods now, but ßãggéÐÇåv98 (Ûñqùðtäߣè Øñé)
where is it exactly the]ose struts ou mention on aplusperformance i dont seem to find them
and what do u think of koni sport kit suspension for te cavy how many inches is supposed to lower the car?
koni sport kit cavy
i know that the kno yellow there are versions for each car where can i find the one fpr my cavy so it goes perfectly with the sprint springs
Isn't there a limit to how much you can drop j's before your axles and ect. will wear out faster?
***Looking for a BLUE 03+ STOCK cavi wing pm me if ya got one you wanna sell***
the sport kit isn't much of a drop at all, but the konis are def a nice upgrade. I rolled on stock struts with dropzone springs for a while and upgraded to koni's last spring. I just picked up some tein h techs and I'm excited to see how those feel/perform. Its not the big of a deal to go without struts right away, but you will blow the stock ones and it will suck. If you have the money you might as well go with the koni's right away. The install is really not as bad as everybody makes it sound. It only takes a couple hours longer then putting new springs on if you know what your doing. Check out road magnet springs if your looking for a bigger drop. They are a newer option, but one of our members just gave them an excellent review. hopefully this helps ya a bit.

if he cant even find struts on a site or even have the common sense to contact jason then i wouldnt suggest him to yellows thats why i told him to get dspecs. yellows are not a direct bolt like the dspecs are. yellows you have to cut your front struts in half and then insert the koni.

anything past a 1.5" drop will start to wear cv joints and all. around 2" is when it starts to get excessive.
(Puts on Fire suit)
When i got my cavy I came across a friend who had some Gold line springs in his garage from his old cavy and I bought them for $50 1.75" drop, didn't have the money at the time for struts and i had new wheels on the way so I just put the springs in knowing that i would blow a strut eventually then I would upgrade because then I would have more money. I had just bought all new stereo stuff, exhaust, wheels, intake, tint, drille dand slotted rotors then the springs. I knew the wife wouldn't let me drop that kind of cash on new struts after all the other stuff.
Anyway, a little over 2 years later and the stock struts are still kicking, yes it rides a little bouncey, I know it would be alot better with performance struts but its better looking than stock and it still handles better than stock.
I know its wrong.
OK, flame away..................

good thing you but it on because you have no idea what a good suspension feels like and you probably dont know their blown. boucing is a good sign that their blown. im glad i dont drive near you on the road

Would a set of Stage 1 or 2 drive axles help the CV's and stop them from wearing so quickly?
And I when I first started tuing, the first part I put in was the eibach coilovers on stock struts that where already on their way out the door. 2 months later my struts were shot. It just so happened that after that I lost my job, and couldn't do anything else with the suspention. So when I had money again, and got really tired of my car bouncing worse than a kickball, i bought the GR-2's. So that I can get my moneys worth, when they wera out I'm gonna get KYB AGX's.
coilovers need koni yellows or dspecs. you shouldnt really put anything else on them. gr2s are oem replacements so they are barely better than stock and agxs are only good for a 1.5" drop

I actually do know exactly what a good suspension feels like, I wont get in to the cars my friends have and what I have rode in, but I do know what a good suspension is, trust me. I also know that bouncing is the first sign that a strut is blown but it doesn't bounce enough to make me even wonder if the strut is bad. I have been working on cars since I was 14 and I am now 25, everything thats done to my car I have done with my own two hands, and somewhere along the line I managed to figure out what a blown shock feels like.
I also would not be driving it if I thought it was the least bit dangerous to me or other drivers, I am not a 16 year old punk.

Whats that supposed to mean? I am 16 and not some punk that does dangerous stuff to my car. Just because your young doesnt mean your stupid like some people.

Well, from I was told the Coilovers that eibach makes are design specific. For example, one set can go on stock, KYB's, another set can go on Tokico, and another for Koni. I myself thought it was a bit strange that only one set can be used for different brands ok struts.
Anyway, I'll look for either yellows or dspecs. thanks.
design specific that its designed for our cars. they will fit on those struts but are not suppose to be on them.
lowering springs then wheels.. the 4x4 look with nice wheels isnt nice.. id rather roll stock rims lowered then not lowered and nice rims, just me tho.
