im buyin rims today and the set is already mounted on tires. they are a good deal but the size is 205/40/17, will that be a big problem?
yes, its way way way too small for our cars, you want either a 215/45/17 or a 225/45/17
its going to throw off your speedo and its going to add more miles to the car than whats really on it because the overall size diameter is much smaller than stock
add more miles to the car?
its not actually going to add more miles but the odometer is going to rack up miles more quicker on it because the overall size is smaller than stock.

yea, i just searched into it.. i see wut u mean.. im gonna try and get the place to change the tires on the rims or somethin or maybe give me a good deal on another set.
I got 225/40/18s and mine are just fine...but i also got a whole nother inch....
225/40R18's are fine, they are very close to the overall diameter of our original tire sizes.
205/40R17 is what a 90-99 Civic would run. now the fact that these guys wanted to put that on a cavalier makes me question how much they really know about what they are doing.

its probably a package deal online. i see that alot in this forum. people buy package deals and they sell them with a certain size tire. people never check to see if the tire size is proper first before buying it.
no it was from a shop. i didnt get them. i found out that i could switch the tires tho which is a plus. i ended up getting some brand new tires for $50 at this local shop
