i need new tires bad. i have 3 friends and they have all told me that each of those 3 tires are sticky and do exceptional in the rain and they love them at the track.
what kind of feedback can you guys give me on these 3 tires.?
im looking for somthing solid at the local race track, great in the rain, with good handling to match my suspension. lets get a nice resourceful thread going here guys!
i would like to keep the discussion to these 3 only, but anyone that wants to mention other tires, feel free!

I have the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS, they look like this:
Absolutely love them. I am running them in a 245/45Zr17 on the Camaro. Best tire I've ever ran. Plenty of other people on here will tell you the same. Some say the tires make a little road noise, I haven't heard any road noise at all.
A little pricy, but well worth it.

I have the Falken Ziex on mine. They're really good all-season tires really. Not too expensive either. I wouldn't exactly call them "sticky" but they do the job and do it well.

they are awesome in the wet and dry
i havent ever driven them in snow as they arent really rated super high for snow and ice
Goodyear Assurance Tripletread for myself. It's fairly sticky when i did race (drag, but race nonetheless), handles awesomely in rain (I do live in Seattle), and has great wear characteristics assuming you're not doing burnouts to impress the junior highschoolers.
The only thing I've noticed is they tend to feel a bit "soft" in curves, but don't lose traction.
No matter what, though, any gain in one area loses in another. Anything really sticky wears out fast, anything that wears well is usually harder and doesn't grip as well. Anything for pure grip in dry conditions in wet or icy conditions will be like using a Viper as a Zamboni, and so on.
If you're serious about racing, what I'd suggest is to get another set of rims for a pure track set of tires on it, and then another with a grocery getter set on them.
Personally, though, I have never used any of the three mentioned. The closest was the Yokohama AVS dB ones i had, which worked incredibnly well in wet conditions, were stricky and solid handling, but wore out really quick. My Tripletreads now have lasted a lot longer, have just as good rain handling, handle far better in ice, snow, and slush, but are slighly worse when it comes to dry conditions.

Well, the problem with Goodyears Triple Tread tires is that they aren't made for performance handling. They are a good all season tire, that's pretty much it. They are designed for traction in the elements of the weather. Don't get me wrong, they are a good, good tire.. they wear great, I've never seen one seperate or wear irregularly at all. But, not really the kind of tire that he is looking for.

possibly not, but again, my point was if you want a catch-all tire, you're going to have to sacrifice some areas that you weant, and it sounds like he wants a catch-all.
I would say prioritize what's the most important, and then go from there.

Ive had the Falken Ziex ZE512 in a 215/55-16. I loved them. Good grip in the rain and dry. Only problem i had is that they wore out to quick. Didnt even have them a year and they were almost bald.
Just bought Some BFG Traction TA's same size. They feel a little more grippy than the falkens. Only complaint. No rim protector built into the tire like the falkens. Plus these shouldnt wear out as fast as they have a higher tread wear rating. But have a higher traction rating.
i had a pair of the Falkens so thats my vote.
I've had ziex, but I now have g-force sports, and I would choose them.

Go to the Tire Rack website and do a comparison. They often have tests that put one tire agianst another in a series of track tests. From my research and experience the Yokohama AVS ES100's are about as good as you can get for the price. They wear well and have great wet traction. Increase the tire pressure and they handle very well in the dry as well.(autocrossing)
Kumho's aren't bad I had the ecsta supra 712's they're not to bad but wear quick for anyone who likes to take turns agressively.
