Can anybody give me an idea of how i can get these snapped lug nuts off? they're snapped far up enough that the tool cant get a bite on the threads. These wheels are my motegi MR7's and i have about 4 of them that snapped getting put on. What can i do besides torch the wheel?
Maybe someone has a cleaner or easier suggestion, but I imagine it should be possible to drill them out and replace the studs.

if your able to get anything around the lug. Hammer a 12 point socket on the broken lug or you might be able to even use an easy out but i doubt that. if all else fails you will have to drill the stud out
Pretty much have to drill them out. MR7's have holes barely bigger than tuner lugs so putting a socket over them will be impossible.
Buy McGard's next time.

well it depends if the lug sticks out a little bit or not. my old wheels were the same way where the hole was barely bigger and my key broke off inside my lug. took it to the wheel shop and they hammered a socket on there and it came right off. none the less my next set of lugs were mcgards lol
A definite vote for the McGard style lugs. I purchased two sets of these knockoff eBay lugs from a Canadian seller for $11.99 per set. It didn't keep me from crossthreading and subsequently replacing about a half dozen wheel studs, but chalk that up to experience (or lack thereof). At least the "spline drive" style meant I could get them off again. I'm sure I would be in the same boat as you if I had used the traditional style lugs.

Those look like the exact same set, and then the 5th nut is different. the tool is chrome too.
but anyways, is there anyway one of you fellas could type me up a small how to on how to drill these out? will my cordless drill work or will i need a more powerful one? what size drill bit do i use? do i drill dead center of the stud?
Drill dead center of the stud.
Cordless will not work, it takes a long time to drill them out. I suggest an air powered drill, but you need an air compressor for that..
Just keep on drilling until the lugnut comes off, and then you can replace the studs. I wouldn't even dream of torching the wheels.
The 2nd day that I had my brand new wheels on, I had to replace my wheel bearings. When I went to take the lug nuts off on the passenger front, 3 of the studs spun with the nuts, all because my retarded friend over-tightened them when I told him not to.
I had to drill them out, with my brand new wheels on. I was FURIOUS, but I only got one really small scratch from it thank god. Just be careful when you do it. I suggest replacing all of the studs at once, instead of just the broken ones. They are cheap enough that it won't hurt.
Also, you will want a drill bit that is about the same size as the stud.

thanks alot man i appreciate it.
that kinda happend to me once, was tightening my stock lug and it broke, through me on my back when it did, went to Discount tire and they just put the gun on it and spun it off, and replaced a few of the lugs on that wheel just to be safe. don't know if that helped you at all, don't know the condition of your situation either.
IF possible go buy some of the good blue masking tape. Tape the wheels up really good. Weld on another lug nut onto the end and then you can take them off. Ive done it before but i dont know if you ahve enough room to do it.
theres no way i'd be able to weld that in there, there is barely enough room for the lug nut tool to fit in, and the snap is very deep in the stud. thanks for the help though, atleast i have some more ideas of what to do.
i'm thinking we're going to attempt the drill the stud out technique, maybe i'll use the blue tape to prevent nicking and such.
keep the suggestions coming guys.
