Actually, those tires (the Eagle Responsedges) pwn the @!#$ out of the RS-A's and are probably replacing them. We're getting a set on my mom's 04 LS, so I'll actually get to drive on a set, but they seem / look like good tires -- they just come in crappy economy / family car sizes.

Actually I just checked them out yest while I was getting my tranny flushed! They are pretty sweet & the shop said they sell for about $160 each for the 205/55/06's but since they haven't sold any yet, they would give them to me for $125 each!!!! I'm really thinkin' about getting them & trying them out!

Wow, you are a marketing persons wet dream. Slap some carbon fiber on it and you'll buy anything.

It is one thing if there are reviews on them proving they are worth $125 per tire....it's another thing to want them because they have carbon fiber in them.

We put a set of these tires on an 02 Audi TT (205/55R16) and the owner came back for an oil change. I asked him about them and he said they were much better in every way than the RS-A's he had previously.

At least we know they slot in between the F1 GS-D3 and the RS-A. That's a pretty damn good tire considering it's cheaper than an RS-A.

A wet shirt would be better than RSA's though, they are junk so anything would be an improvement. Seriously, what is the purpose of putting CF in an economy tire?

It's not an economy tire. It's a luxury-performance tire. And the RS-A's wouldn't be tirerack's benchmark tire if it were that bad.

Go to goodyear's site and read up on the Responsedge and you'll understand more the reasoning behind it. I deal with the tires everyday and the sidewalls of these tires are interesting. Half of it is soft, like a touring tire, the other half of the sidewall is stiff (where the CF is).

It's probably mostly for marketing though. I'm not trying to defend the tires, just that I've heard nothing but good things about them considering the wear rating.

Do they make it in a 215/45/18?

The vast majority of law enforcement vehicles in Florida don't seem to have much problem with them.

No low profile sizes here.

$125.00 is actually pretty average as far as high quality performance tires go.

I spent around $450.00 on autocross tires this year, and if I was running R-comps it would probably be in the rangefor $700.00->$1000.00

I'm assuming all it does is makes the sidewall stiffer. So your essentially gettin short sidewall stiffness without the expense of 17"+ rims.
