I'm looking to find out how wide I can go. From most tire calculators the closest to get the proper diameter is 225/60. Does anyone know if this will rub on the factory 14 steelies on a 2004?
Doubt it, most aftermarket tires are 225 for our cars, as long as the steelie's offset is around 45-48 you should be alright. I would get a wider rim though, i think the stock steelie is 6" wide, 7-7.5 would fit better.
Thanks for the advice. I'm looking to keep the wheels small and light, but also trying to avoid aftermarket wheels. Do you know if there are any wider factory type wheels available keeping the weight down?
I wouldn't go wider than 205 on a steelie
