I have purchases new 17X7 wheels for my 04 cavvi from wheelmax so the tire size rides at the same height. But have been hearing that its possible that my vehicle speed sensor is located on my wheel. Are my new wheels gonna cause any problems if the top to bottom size matches original?
In a word NO
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
heh. Absolutely not. So long as the tire height as the same as stock, there are no issues with the speed sensor or ECU.
even if the tire height was off, there would still be no problem with the speed sensor. there would just be a problem in your rolling radius that would affect your speed calculation

Who told you that it could be located on your wheel? There is no car in the entire world that has a VSS o the wheel.
And also, x2 on what viper98912 said. You won't have some horrible ABS reaction, or whatever, as long as the tire height is the same all around -- even if it isn't the same rolling diameter as stock, ask any of the guys here running some retarded tiny size like 205/40-17.
215/45/17 or 225/45/17 are the 2 best options
with the 225/45 being the closest to stock size , but is slightly taller , by like a pub hair
the 215/45 are several pub's smaller
no vss issues
i personally like less pubic hair than more.
