im looking at getting 18" tenzo passion 5 rims, i was going to order them through wheelsnext.com but they dont give a good description of the wheel and tire. it just says 18x7.5 and the tire is 225/45/18. i clicked the will this fit my car button and it said that it would. im assuming that it would, and im also curious if 18x7.5 is to wide?

18x7.5 is good, and should fit with the tire size you're going with. however, with the 45 treadwall height on a 18 inch rim, you're speedometer is going to be farther off, due to the larger circumference of the tire over stock. it would be better to go with a 35 height tire (i.e. 225/35/18).

there's a tire/speedo offset calculator in this thread somewhere. it should tell you how far off the 40 series tire is going to throw your speedo off. check the FAQ.

my wheels are 18 x 7.5 and my tires are 225/40/18. you'll be fine with those wheels and tires. most people here with 18 inch wheels are running 225/40/18 tires. the speedo is barely off with those.

so hurry up and get the wheels and post pictures
