I see no problem with e-bay as long as you're careful who you buy from. If they have a good positive feedback rating I think you're fine. Also, read the item description thoroughly and if anything seems suspicious don't buy.
Id say its safe as long as its from a company with high positive feedback percentage. I woudl be a little weary about private sales. But theres a lot of companies on there that have awsome prices!

I did and i got all my rims for $50 a piece so do the math $200 for 4 rims, went to a wheel place they wanted 800 for all 4 rims. so i had a successful deal his name was conceptwheels i think. really nice guy, excellent communication.
see thats what Im hoping for thanks gusy.

i bought mine off ebay. brand new 18s and i got them for 1/2 the price they go for on adrs site
Just make sure there is a warranty or something. Last thing you want is to be driving, hit a hug pot hole, the rim crack and the ebay seller telling you "oh well". Or the rim manufacturer saying they won't cover it because you bought them off of ebay.
I can't say I've had any issues with anything I've bought from ebay. Never bought wheels, but plenty of electronics and such.
