...going from a 15in to maybe a 17inch which means i'll have to get a bigger tire...wouldnt selecting bigger rims and tires slow your car down??
some what but you wont really notice. if you get light weight wheels it may be lighter than stock. also the tires arent bigger. they are the same overall diameter, its just the sidewall getting smaller. the new tires will probably be a little wider but its fine
It will slow your acceleration down like 1/1000th of a second, and it isnt noticable. Yes its "slower" but you cant tell, with bigger wheels it takes more to make it go, and more to make them stop, but there isnt a noticable difference.
