alright, this is an offset opinion that im asking for cause i have two to choose from, and both are kinda iffy. I'm getting the 5zigen fn01-rc 17X7 with either the 225, or a 215 tire.
NOW, this tire comes in either a 35mm or a 48mm. I'm going to lower on a H or S-tech drop so im not going to low.
now, which should i get? both are kinda on parallel extremes for our cars. I understand the 35 is acceptable, but really, how does it look? Could i just keep a 215 on it to help tuck it in the fender better? and i could just get the 48's with some small spacers, but i hear a lot of mixed opinions on those damn things. Are they really all that bad?
let me know whats up for both sides of my question, cause this is the only thing holding me back from getting my new rims!
I think 35mm would be way to far out towards the fender. you'd be better off getting the 48mm and getting spacers and extended studs if need be in my opinion.
unfortunatly i know next to nothing in the wheel and tire world but from what i understand, spacers suck. lots of stress on the wheel studs and prob some other stuff. i wouldn't need much space in there, just a couple of mm really.
come on people, i need some insight here. this is the only question thats holdin me back from buying my new rims.
tires dont come in offset, wheels come in offset. the lower the number the farther out it sits. the higher the number the more in it will sit. typically anyting from a 35-48mm will work on a j
thanks, but ikinda new that, notice what you said and what im getting, 35-48 kinda opposites right, well i was just trying to get which one is more preferable.
I'd go with 35s in the rear and 48s in the front.
Why's everyone looking at me like that?
