How do you take hubcaps off of a 97 Cavalier? Do you just pull and they come off?

that's how you remove MOST hubcaps. unless yours have some sort of special locking mechanism, i don't see how yours would be any different.

There should be some plastic caps over your lug nuts. twist these off, then once you take all the lugs off, the hubcap will come right off.

If you want to do this without taking off the wheel, there will be one lug holding on the hubcap. You have to look behind the lug nuts to see which one it is (may be difficult if you haven't cleaned them in a while). But basically there will be one space where there is more plastic behind the lug. Take this lugnut off and the hubcap should just come right off.
