well i need some help decideing what size rims to get. i really want racing rims not DUBS! So not any thing over 18" because i heard thats bad for performance...is that true?

Yeah that and it also matters what you want to do with them. A light 18" wheel and tire combo will work great for handling because of the shorter and stiff sidewall but a small wheel could be even lighter and better for drag. What do you want them to do? I don't think anything bigger than a 17" should be used on a J, unless its all show.

Track as in autocross? Sounds like you want some light 16's or 17's. I wouldn't use anything bigger.
