225/50/16 Tires?

I want to upgrade to 225 50 16 from 205 55 16 will the tires rub on the inside of the wheel well? thanks

Yep, friend of mine has them on Sportlines, he loves 'em. Look a lot beefier too.

I got the falken zeix 512 225/50/16's to replace my Eagle RSA 205/55/16's.

The first tire was REAL hard to get on the rim, we had to get like 3 people with pry bars along with the tire machine to get the damn tire on... and then a little above 70PSI to pop the tire into place, lol..

the 2nd one went on no problem though. They handle GREAT, feel GREAT !

I'm rollin on 225/50/16 and never have had a rub problem. Course, right now, my car's not dropped... we'll have to see next year.

What are the benifits from running this larger size tire?

Wider contact patch, more grip. It also looks mean. Thats what I am going to when I need tires.

Shouldn't be a problem at all, I race on 225/50/15's for autocross, lowered about 2" on koni sport kit and I don't have any clearance issues

225 50 r16 are good on sportline kits for the 04 cav then????
or is it a little different.

i had 225/50/r16's on my sunfire with sportlines and D-specs and it was excellent no clearance probs all go for it
