i heard this is good for cleaning your wheels,i got new eagle rims coming and i just wanted to know what you guys thought if it is any good....?
thanks....Greg
i use to use it but i stopped. it does work good but im going back to just water and a towel. too many products w/ chemicals that will @!#$ up the finish anymore so im just using water
I wouldn't use anything that has a corrosive warning on it. It's just not worth it. Read this thread:

yeah man, don't bother!! use simple car wax if anything, but i'd stick with soap/water
yea man,i don't want my rims to look like yours,no offense lol but yea i was told just to use soap and water but mayb on the inside maybe a little bit of wax....? so the brake dust comes right off....? yes i don't want my new eagles to end up lookin like that....thanks guys....Greg
I use it on the back side of the rims every 12 weeks or so where the soap and brush doesn't reach to get rid of the brake dust.
Haven't had a problem with the finish yet.
yea...i use corosive @!#$ on the back to shine it up....but on the front dont use it...i used to use the eagle1 stuff in the orange bottle...now i use stuff at work called mean green....but actually you can use anything that is a degreaser...like simple green, purple power...as long as it has no corossive stuff....and actually you can use a weak acid...just wash it off in like 5 sec or less so it doesnt eat the finish
i used the stuff, its great on old corroded aluminum rims, but for ones that are already shiny don't bother too harsh,
I've had good luck with simple green. Not nearly as harsh and does a decent job. If I remember right there's actually 2 kinds of Hot Rims cleaner. It should say on the back of the bottle what kind of wheels they are meant for. I've used Hot Rims before and never had a problem with my stock wheels. Mr. Clean also just came out with a wheel eraser. Might want to check that out as well.
I was told just windex would work. They recomended it to me at discount tires.
