..in about two months, after I install a few new tranny parts, gonna be buying a new set of wheels/tires. I dont mind paying more for a real nice set of ligggght wheels..gonna go with the velox ps-5? i think they are called..forged, just 12.5 lbs each. 1,400 for the set with tires, but ill pay. but i gotta choose a tire and size...i dont like the look of a lot of rubber, and i dont mind a little fender gap...anyone got a pic of 17s on 225/40s? I know this is shorter than stock, but it is still taller than my current set-up. also, if you have em, how do you like that size, do they perform well for ya?

I have a picture of RSS Kama 17s with 205 / 40s on Sportlines and on Stock height if youde like to see, let me know.
Shifted , i could have sworn that you had a drift front ?
...hey shifted, what kind of a drop do ya have? just wondering..my cavi is on H&R springs, I think maybe a 1.5 inch drop?

...gotcha..thank you, shifted. so, with a 225/40, and a 1.5 inch drop, it should fill the wheel well gap about 2 inches extra than what you were kind enough to post a pic of. thanks again.

...nwcavi, how does that tire size perform for ya? grippy off the launch / cornering? i dunno if I wanna get the 225/40 or 215/40's...def. want a 40 series, i think the 45's have a bit too much sidewall shwoin for my taste...but thanks for the pic..

they hold good in straight line launching...they are awesome in cornerning. It comes down to whether or not you can live with a little more wheel to fender gap or not.

Fyi a 225 tire will have more sidewall than a 215... the number "40" is actually a percentage of the width of the tire, not every 40 series tire has the same sidewall... for instance the 225 has a 90mm sidewall whereas the 215 has a sidewall of 86mm.
