Hey all,
I bought a 98 Z24 the other day and on the way home I lost reverse and 5th. The stick goes all the way over to the right against the console, and I push up from 4th and it's 3rd gear. I have a part on order from Amazon from X8R, but I'm still searching for a more permanent fix. I know the GM part number is 22604167 for the whole shifter assembly, but it is discontinued from GM. Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

You need to try re-adjusting the cables. I believe its the one closer to the driver's side at the shifter. If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to replace the cables altogether.
