Hello Everyone, I've been looking over this forum for quite a while and learned quite a bit about the f23 trans, I'm almost finished with my LX9 F23 swap but now I've realized I never got the bracket on the Trans that holds the shift and select cables in place. I've called the dealers and they don't have that part anymore apparently. I've looked at the newer Cobalt/HHR F23 trans and it almost looks like the same bracket. Has anyone found them anywhere?
I have a 00' cavalier trans from the 2200 motor.
I also don't know the technical name for this part.
Could I use one for a cobalt?
It also seems like no JY's around here will separate this bracket from the Trans,
Thanks for any and all help!
This should be the bracket i Need.
This is supposed to be the newer cobalt bracket, They look identical to me?
And I actually have found both with part numbers, So I guess I just needed to look harder! Its odd though, the cavi one is $35 and the cobalt one is $15...
I have one in my garage if you'd like it? i just bought a new tranny and it had it on it so i have an extra.
That would be great! Just got done with another round of JY hunts with nothing to show for it, so this made my day.
10yr bump… but you wouldn’t happen to still have an extra? Just finished manual swapping my 2002 eco and its the only part I’m missing to get it running and driving.
I might have one... I'll take a look if ya haven't come up with one yet ?? It's been over a week I see
