2001 Z24 Cavalier Transmission

I have recently purchased a 2001 Z24 Cavalier. The transmission is shot. I do not have any experience with j-body cars. I plan to replace the transmission myself. What transmission is in it? What other J Body transmission will work? The car is a 4 speed automatic.
