On my 98 3 speed auto 2200 car I got a vss code. Replaced it and the code was still there. The gear on the inside of the trans that drives the vss sensor is stripped.
Can this be fixed in the car? Or does the trans need to be pulled and disassembled?
If it needs to be pulled it may just be easier to swap in a used trans?
