Hey
Is anybody familiar with the F23 making a humming noise with speed. Its directly related to the speed and occurs in all gears, in neutral, clutch down, clutch up. If the car is moving with speed above about 35mph, its humming. Isolated the noise to where the left shaft goes into the transaxle while the car was on a lift. I replaced the differential bearings. Noise still there.
Kinda hard to find info on this. Hope someone can help.
Thanks
did u see anything out of the norm when the trans was apart?
did u try wheels bearings?
I'm thinking it's more likely a wheel bearing. Does the humming change loudness or pitch when turning?6
Yup, it was the wheel bearings. Had a pair of autozone hubs on there for three months and both of them went bad. Its amazing how the noise traveled into the tranny. Never buying a part from autozone again!
you replaced differential bearings before a wheel bearing are you serious.
even at 3 months old the only hubs to trut to last are GM ones they seem to last year longer them most aftermarket
