More power will rpms in 5th gear hiway be same?

Question, without changing the gearing in my transmission will I always be at the same rpm in 5th gear on the high way no matter how much more power I make? I'm pretty sure this is the case. If so I may looking changing 5th gear out because driving 75 on the highway my rpms are at 3k. I'm used to my other cars with 6 speeds being near 2,100-2,300 rpm at this speed. This would really help fuel economy, would it not?

Power does not affect your RPM to linear wheel speed. That is a fixed ratio set by the gear ratios, FDR and tire diameter.
