I have constructed a working prototype short throw/short select shifter for the 90-94 cars. I have sent it out to a member to test on his car and will hear back from him on Friday with the results. The throw from 3rd to 4th has been reduced from 6" of travel down to 3" of travel and still retains the factory shift knob height. You could not tell by looking at this it is a short shifter when fully installed, but you will sure feel it.
I would like to see if i can apply this same technology to a shifter for 95-99 since there is a gaping hole in the market for such a thing. Could someone please post a picture of your stifter mechanism, hopefully out of the car and on a bench so I may see its workings?

i had pics, but i lost them. its an easy piece to take apart, if no one does so within the next day or so, i'll take new ones. depending on price, i might be interested in another shifter (if it was stock height, i'd cut it down to be shorter so it clears my flip out, but still, always good to have spares.)
