I have a 97 Z24 with a stick and the trans is gone and I can get my hands on a 93 Grand Am GT with a 2.3HO and stick but the motor is bad, will the 93 trans work in the 97?

All Quad 4 HO cars came with the Getrag manual trans. Your Z24 has an Isuzu. They will swap becuase they both have the exact same bell housing. I have done this same swap, but the other way, newer trans into older car. I had to swap shift cables, shifter, trans mounts, and jack shaft as well. I also had to swap from an external clutch to an internal clutch, so i ported over the master cylendar and resivior, but did not have to change the clutch pedal. I know it sounds like alot, but its really not, especially if you have a complete donor car. it will be no big deal.

I know Jimmy is using an NVG trans and he's well over 400hp.
