Well, a reman through GM was about $2700. So I'd say you could probably get $1k out of it, maybe.

yeah no way a 2200 one is worth more than $500. there is no way its $2700. for cheaper you could take your stock one, light it on fire, put it out. piss on it. take it apart and put it back together with replaced parts.
When the 3t40 on my 97 cavalier died before I owned it, my grandfather got it repalced with a remanufactured unit through the dealership nearby here, I have the receipt still. $2700 for the part.
2200 one is a little more valueable as someone may use it on a V6 swap if its a 4 speed
