hey guys, i was at the stop light and went to take off and nothing. My shifter sempt pushed over to the right all the way. NO REVERSE, so i burnt the clutch to get it off the road.

Anyways. I tore air cleaner off and everything down the the tranny, i took my cables off and the ( excuse my term knowlege ) gear box? on top of the tranny wouldn't allow me to put it into first, so it made me believe it was out. Anyways how do you take that off and replace it and what is it called? i know you can replace the shifter cables themselves, but im 95% sure that its the gear box deal on top to the tranny. thanks for your help.
