well recently my tranny went out and i had the mechanic look at the clutch while it was apart and he said that it had a aftermarket clutch and it was a lucas clutch and i cant find them..are they any good?
Maybe he meant luk clutch?
Luk clutches are a stock replacement clutch.
I LOVED my luk clutch when I had it. Took all my beating s and never slipped once.

Are you forgetting about the Pro Gold clutch set Luk manufactures? The standard Repset is a stock replacement, but the Gold clutch sets are better than stock. Of course even the Repsets are very good replacement clutches.
Not sure what the deal is, but I just bought a luk repset for my f23 and it has exedy all over it. Came in a luk box but no luk markings on the components. Says exedy not only on the disc but the pressure plate too.
If you buy an Exedy clutch it will have LuK stamped on it. They are the same clutch. the Exedy I put in my 98 even had all the markings that the GM one I pulled out had.
alright i wasnt sure..the mechanic told me i had a different clutch than stock cause i gm car have gm clutches and he wasnt sure what this clutch was
i had a luk stage 1... it was epic good...
my spec stage 3 .... not so much
