Hi everybody i just bought my first 88 cavalier 2.8l v6 5 speed. Which apparently is very hard to find. Ive been looking for this car for some time and one finally popped up in connecticut. $300 is what i paid for it. Its in rough shape, but im a master mechanic and ready for the job. I have big plans for this car. The previous owner replaced alot of parts in an attemp to fix a start and run for ten seconds and stall problem. I towed the car home and found a shorted out injector. I replaced all of them with 3.1l injectors (from the boneyard) which have the same part number...... ran awesome. I drove the car about 200 feet and when i pushed in the clutch it made this horrible noise and stalled the engine. its completely bound now. Its actually bound so bad that the engine seized up. It wont turn over. I unbolted the clutch slave cylinder and tried prying the release fork back with a pretty beefy pry bar and the damn thing is not budging. Its stuck in the applied position. I'll take the transmission out in a couple of days and see whats going on in there, but i was just curious if anyone has experienced this or a similar problem before.
