So today I was looking around on Summit and came across a few listings for an ACT clutch disc... They are here,
4 Puck ceramic 8.425" 14 spline
and
6 Puck ceramic 8.425" 14 spline
I understand there are two functions to torque capacity in a clutch, one is the material of the disc friction the other being the clamping force of the pressure plate. Since options for the 2.2L OHV with a getrag are small as far as performance clutches my thoughts were to buy an OE pressure plate and use it with the 6 puck ACT disc. Certainly a much cheaper option than even SPEC.
Thoughts? Maybe Mr. Auvil from Spec can chime in?
