about how much would it cost to do a 4 speed auto swap to a 5 speed manual transmission swap.
I payed $6k for my swap.

buy a car with a 5 speed itl be cheaper and ul have a spare engine from your old car

A trans unit is probably around 4-500, depending on where u are,
Then you'll need a new clutch with housing and master + slave cylinder. that'll run you about another $250
The labour's the expensive part....I'd say it'd probably run you about abother 500.
With maybe about $100 for fluids, gaskets, misc.
almost forgot, you'll need shifter, center console (theyre different), clutch pedal, the labour to fit it, mounts, etc etc etc
For the money, just get another car.
Just hunt down a cheap donar car with a blown motor or has been rear ended and start striping. Could cost you as little as $100. Kijiji and cragslist is full of cheap J's.
I've done this swap way to many times now, N, W, 2 J's and a dodge shadow, its all the same thing. Not a big deal, could be done is a weekend
