Worth the a new transmission

Hey guys

i fear this will be one of my last jbod posts as my car seems to be constantly having problems. i drive a 99 cavalier with a 2.4ld9 and 5 speed tranny. ive had this car about 3 years and i absolutely love it but i've had to put more than the car is worth in repairs into it including a new engine with 150,000km on it, new head and gasket, new exhaust, new brakes all around, cold air intake, new tires and a set of snow tires. but now my tranny seems to be screwed, somethin is broken in the shift linkage i think as i cant shift and im guessing its having other problems. i love this car and cavaliers are just so pimp but i really cant afford another fix, ive put so much into the car just to keep it on the road to get me to school and back and i really need a car for school. my question to you guys is firstly given my situation and the repairs ive already put into my cavy is it worth getting a new or rebuilt transmission put into my car i know it will cost alot? or should i just sell or scrap my cavy and maybe take a loan with the women and get a newer car or somethin. im pretty handy and could do a transmission swap myself ive taken the first year of auto in college. my question is just really that ive put so much into the car is it worth continuing? also anyone who could hook any sort of deal on a 5-speed 2.4 tranny it would be a very big help for me and my family. dam cars lol

thanks guys

brakes, tires things you will have to replace in any car you own so take that outta the mix when your thinking about how much you spent on it. engine problems could probalby be from putting a motor in that was allreayd wore out.
