take the end of a flat screwdriver and just pry it out any which way you like

to put the new seal in .. put it in square to the hole and tap it in slowly...helps if you have something that will fit around the seal about the same diameter.. like a big socket, or the old seal (if its still flat enough to use) .. just so you dont damage the edge of the new seal

good luck, its not too tough

^ Just what he said. If you have a bearing/bearing race installer, it works really well.

well i already got the old one out i tried a slide hammer but it didnt work so i grabbed the inner edge with a pair of vise grips and hammered it out. unfortunatly a 36mm socket isnt big enough to reach the outer edge just the inner edges which have the holes in it and i bent it into the rubber so i had to buy a new seal. i will have to go by my friends shop tomorrow and pick up a bigger socket.
