Ok so i have a 2.4 that was mated with a 5spd that i got from the junk yard my qustion is
I have a 2.4 block will i be able to mate it with the 90's getrag tranny i have from a 2.3???
and willingly or not does the 2.4 have to be an auto block or manual block or does it matter?
Thanks
The blocks are the same for the bell housing pattern.
when you say 90s 2.3 tranny be more specific, there were like 3 different engines,...HO,LO,and OHV..the only one youd WANT is the tranny from the HO 2.3 from 1992-1994..........anything else would be uncivilized

^^^^^ is was a 90's cutless Calais 442 red in color factory a/c delete car. Bro brought it cuase he wanted a
spare motor he only paid $250.00 for the whore car had a 2.3 HO and a 5spd in it. Was a good car
i gave him a $100 bucks for the tranny. Now i have a 2.3/2.4 Hybrid i'm going to be putting in my cavaie
if i ever get a job LOL
... 90's Calais... no kidding...
It matters what year it is... and what RPO codes it has....... you may have a really desirable trans.
Like, on the side of the bumper cover (and read in to this, I am hinting here) does it say W40, or W41?
