I just had my clutch replaced a month or two ago, and now my car seems to take some force to shift into gear.
It's a 1997, 2.2l manual..
Any ideas?
*Also, when the replaced it my DRLs didn't work anymore and it seemed to idle rough, but they got kind of defensive about it when I asked them.
Also, 1st gear seems to be the most difficult gear...
check out you linkages as well. may not have put back together right

BTW: This is my Sig.
also check for a broken master cylinder rod, that happened to me and i could hardly get the car into any gear.
Bleed the clutch, if that doesn't work don't drive till you find out the issue, I had the same problem(bad master cylinder) and I ended up breaking my cables.

- putting the pieces back together -
check to see if you didnt bend the metal lines of the shift cables, if they are bent they will not slide smoothly through the casing, this was the cause of another persons issues, they tried to hard to push the connector back onto the ball and it bent it causing it to have hard shifts.
Yeah im having that problem as well. It does that for me in 1st,2nd.and 3rd and 4th, and 5th it shifts just fine. Once in a blue moon it shift just fine in all gears with no problems. When i shift if i wait a few seconds between shifts then it shirfts smoothly. I have no clue whats the problem though.
I have the same issue (sorta) I just replaced the clutch and slave and now it is almost impossible to get it into 1st gear, most of the time if you hit reverse or second and then str8 yo 1st it would go in but if your holdin still you really need to shove it and it usually takes few tried, all other gears are fine and down shifting is ok until you get to first.
I bled the clutch about 5 times and got some pressure behind the pedal and then it lost it all, then I continued bleeding it and it came back and seems to be ok except for first.
I put 2 qrts of mobile 1 syn ATF and used synthecis dot 4 fluid in the clutch.
Any ideas,
Thanks
Same here i just changed my slave due to leak and replaced clutch since then I have been having problems going into 4 from a dead. And 5-4 is hard and reverse is hard to get into the odd time.
This is is odd i see alot of posts like this that people are having problems after they replaced clutch/slave.
