I wanna know what the hell happened to my tranny it started by grinding my 3rd gear every time i shift to 3rd gear and now it is still grinding but my 4th gear wont let me shift to it no even by kicking it or hanging on it will it shift. Any ideas what could be happening every other gear works great but 3rd and for sure 4th. It is on a 95 2.3 isuzu manual transmission.
could be your syncros i had the same prob with both my first and second. does it go into gear at all??
Syncronizers, I guess its a pretty common thing so expect it with that tranny around 70k.
can they be replaced by me or does it have to be proffesioanally done?
Thing is you need a lot of special/ expensive tools for a manual. You're better off buying a rebuild, and R & R yourself. Its cheap and fast.
