just putting back together my 98 sunfire gt 2.4 where the cluth master cylinder connects to the slave(black conector) is there an o ring in the conection i noticed one laying on the floor after i took it apart, could have been from somthing else i had taken apart not sure, i tried the o ring in the coupler and the only logical place i saw that it would go was the groove that the "fingers" on the inside of the other peice lock into..........
There has to be an o-ring. I just put mine back together and noticed the same thing, an oring on the floor but did not seem to fit at all. So i connected it with out and o-ring and it leaks. Maybe someone can chime in with maybe a size or a part #. I will call GM tomorrow.

same as the one i found, thxs alot for the replies, just wasnt sure because i was having a realy hard time putting it together with the oring
hey im goin through this same situation right now, where does the o-ring go???? can anyone help??
i have a 99 z24 that has clutch problems where does this oring go? does it go where the two screw together or does that black plastic line seperate from the grey end somehow???
i also have a question about said "o-ring"... I've been having a problem with losing pressure in my clutch for a while now and i have fluid leaking on the hose from the clutch fluid to the master cylinder. could this be due to a bad or cracked o-ring? and also it will run days where it holds pressure the whole time. when it does lose pressure i have to put the car in neutral and pump the clutch then put the car back into gear only to lose pressure again after driving in a certain gear for 30 or so seconds.
sorry to OP for the thread jack.
