I was looking at TTR cause I am wanting to get a flywheel and clutch and saw that there is a stage 2 and a stage 2+...I wondering if the stage 2 will do everything I need...its still somewhat my daily driver in the summer and I want to the clutch to still be a little forgiving, don't need to go too overkill cause my plan is only for 250hp...if anyone has some suggestions for clutches that would be great, not sure which flywheel I'm gonna go with but I'll have to do some research on them to see what people like best (either the spec or the fidanza).

2+ will not be over kill. It will actually IMO be better. The 2+ has a "full face disc" and holds more, and daily driving is much easier... Better to go a bit bigger, and play it safe, you dont want to burn one up and then have to do it over again...

I like to keep SPEC with SPEC so I would get the SPEC flywheel, to keep similar brand parts together.

PM us with any questions, we price match also, if you would find it cheaper.

I think for the exact reason you post the 2+ would be tooo much. Lets face it a stock clutch can handle 250hp (maybe not for every), so a stage 2 is going to handle that fine. I will say if you plan on going more power later then consider going more. Really depends on how long until you do. My experience is the stage 3 has a short life span than a stage 2. My stage 2 has been great for daily driving, and handles the track great, it is forgiving as well. I have not driven a stage 2+, but have driven a stage 3 a few times.

i'm running a Spec stage 3 on my 3800SC swap, NO ISSUES so far grabs like a MOFO would buy another one again, go with the 2+ would give you more room to add too

Well I called the guy I ordered my suspension and brakes from to see what he could get....he doesn't have access to Spec stuff but he can get me the Centerforce dual friction clutch and the fidanza flywheel...I have been looking around and have heard that people are quite happy with the centerforce DF. Any opinions on the centerforce DF clutch and a fidanza flywheel setup? I live in canada and the shipping and custom/duty fees are what kills me. Anyways, any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I personally am not a huge fan of centerforce.... They are okay, but I would not rank them very high...

Back in the day ( I have been around along time) Centerforced sucked big time!! I have heard better things about them in recent times. Just no experience with them.

I come from the same world, Centerofrce and J's were not the best. Right now we still dont sell many of them for this reason. We have also heard that they have "improved"

you dont sell any of them because everyone's eyes are blind to the fact that SPEC clutches suck complete balls.

the centerforce DF i got 6 years ago was amazing, i can only say for N/A though. never put any REAL power through it...

mine lasted well over 90 passes at the strip, it did it's duty just fine.

I have been looking around a little more and see that clutch masters has a stage 3 (fx300)...wondering if anyone has any input on them...the last clutch I'd buy is spec, so I am going to explore any other options and I'd be willing to take a risk with something different...seems like not too many people are running other things...spec seems to be a cheap way to go that everyone seems to do...I think I am either gonna go with clutch masters, center force or bully. I think the bully is the most expensive think around 1000 for me to get it but I didn't get confirmation on the price for one yet...Im gonna see if anyone is running a clutch masters clutch and then decided. I have heard too many people complain about the spec clutches but they still seem to buy them...so I'm gonna try something different and see what happens...any insight on clutch masters would be great.

Here is the back ground on clutch masters: (you already stated it basically)

Back in the day Clutch Masters was the most used, and I would also say most respected, clutch for the J-Bodies. Then SPEC came out with their line of clutch kits; however, at a much cheaper price than Clutch Masters. So being that the market is an “economy” car, customers went for what is the cheapest (went with SPEC).

If you did want or need a Clutch Masters kit, we are a direct dealer for them. We don’t have them on the site, however we will add them as we get a request. So let us know.

Well if you could get me a price on the clutch masters fx300 (stage 3) I would possibly be interested...depends if my supplier can get a better deal for me here in canada...anyways, let me know the price and I'll get back to you. Thanks.
