Hello all,

I have a 99 Z24 Cav and for some strange reason, I was driving to Canmore yesterday and I shifted down to 4th to pass someone, and then I shifted back up t0 5th gear. After that I couldn't shift anymore????????? It would not come out of 5th gear. I did make it to Canmore but what do I do now? Whats the problem? This has never happened to me before

maybe broke the shift cable??? i've broken one in a way that made it very difficult to get it out of gear before.

yea the same happened to me and it was a cable got a new one from the junk yard now the other ones broke if you change one i would suggest changing both i think there like 175$ from gm
