Okay I'm wantin to do a five speed swap on my car but i have a 4 door 96 cavi! I've heard that they do but then again I've they don't make stock 5 speed trans for my car is this true or false my car is not a z-24 its a 2.2 please help!!

4 door has nothing to do with it, but they do make a 5 speed tranny for the 2.2.

Honestly I think it would cost more to swap your car to a 5spd then it would to actually buy one thats already 5spd.
not to sound like a jackass, but i really think if you have to ask whether or not how many doors your car has having any relation to the transmission doesn't really amke it sound like your competent enought to perform the swap. i mean, the logical step would have been to find out what motor your using and find out if there was a transmission availible for that motor. hell, my mom drives a sebring, and that was nevver offered with a manual transmission, but the motor in the car was in other cars with a manual trans so at least the major part of the swap is possible....
i guess what im getting at is that if you have to ask a question like this, relating the number of doors to a transmission..... your prolly not competant enough to perform the swap. again, im not trying to sound like a jerk, im simply trying to say, dont get in over your head. cause it sucks to have a car all torn apart and not know how to fix it......

Well you may be rite but its not that i meant by the door that it wasnt possible i meant as in do the GM make 4 door cavalier with the 5 speed stock out of the factory!! Cause if so then i was goin to look for a 4 door cavalier with the 5 speed rather then pull one out of the 2 door!! I'm not really smart with the whole FWD class yet but just tryin to learn lol i have a few friends that were willin to help who knew what they are doin but i didnt bother to ask them about the whole 4 door thing i would rather ask here which im glad i didnt ask them as it looks they prob would've just laughed if they took as you did lol!!! But thanks for the idvice!! But like I said I would rather gather my information from here then them!!!
