The problem I am having is with my 02 2.4 with the F23 getrag.
When I go to shift from 1st to 2nd under WOT the clutch does not fully release. If I shift from 1st to 2nd normally at say 3000rpm half throttle everything is normal the clutch releases all the way and I can shift quickly. If I go to shift quickly under WOT it feels like I did not push in the clutch meaning it is hard to go into gear and I literally have to wait a full second until my rpm drops back down before it slips into gear.
The transmission does not grind under ANY conditions going from 1st to 2nd or any other gear so I have ruled it out.
Here is the kicker. If I push in the clutch with it in first gear at idle it fully releases and slips in and out of 1st and 2nd and reverse with no problem. But if I rev it up with it in gear and the clutch pushed all the way in it moves forward as it gets to the top of the rpm range. I can have the clutch pushed all the way in and hold the rpm at 3,500rpm and it will not move forward but if I rev the throttle it will start to move forward at about 5,500rpm and then as soon as the rpm drops down it stops moving the car. If it is not fully releasing above 5,500 rpm even with the clutch pushed all the way in this explains why I am having problems going from 1st to 2nd under WOT.
The question I need answered is why does it do this and why ONLY in the upper rpm range. Bad pressure plate?? Problem with the slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder?? I dunno you tell me.
When I first put in the clutch I did not use any locktite on the pressure plate to flywheel bolts and they came loose. At the time I thought it was a hydraulic issue. I drove the car home from work with a clutch that would not fully release and had to force it into every gear. It would shutter and die as I came to a stop light and I had to start it in gear when the light turned green. I am wondering if this may have damaged the clutch or pressure plate?
I desperatly want to take it to the track to see what it can do but in it's current condition it is not ready for the track.

FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
Bolts on your pressure plate are loose, or pressure plate is bad.
