ok ive searched and have read through the FAQ's and all (Lenko's to be exact) but im wondering if you left the auto trans engine harness in when you put in the 5 spd would the only issue you have is that you wouldnt have a clutch/neutral safety? or would there be other issues?

thanks

That's pretty much it. Other than throwing a lot of codes, but HPT can turn those off.

you should be good with the 5spd ECU.

On your automatic dash harness trace the THICK YELLOW wiring coming out of the ignition switch about 1/2 way around where your pedals are. Cut this, anywhere you want and in between, wire in the clutch safety switch with a 12 or 14 ga wire. This THICK YELLOW coming from the automatic dash harness will connect to a THICK PURPLE wires in the manual ecotec harness, which is the power to the starter solenoid. Everything else should be the same between the harnesses.

I'm doing the same swap bud, if you have any other questions. Just ask.

I have a manual sunfire 2005 dash harness if you want one. I'll let if go for a fair price. You'd just have to wire in the SDM module wires from your current harness to this one, When i got this one, it was cut off already at Pick n pull.
